Lace Wig Installation using Ebin New York Products

Lace Wig Installation using Ebin New York Products

Here's a step by step guide to laying your lace wig using Ebin products:

What you will need

  1. Ebin Wonder Lace Bond or your preferred Ebin adhesive
  2. Ebin Lace Release for removing the wig later
  3. Ebin Pre-Bond Spray, optional for extra hold
  4. Wig Cap
  5. Edge control or gel for laying edges
  6. Scissors or razor to trim excess lace
  7. Comb or brush
  8. Blow Dryer, optional for setting edges or drying glue
  9. Alcohol or witch hazel to prep your skin
  10. Make up sponge or applicator for adhesive application

Step By Step Guide:

  1. Prep your natural hair: Braid or flatten your natural hair into cornrows or a flat bun to create a smooth base. Put on a wig cap that matches your scalp color to blend seamlessly with the lace.
  2. Prep your skin: Clean your hairline and the area where the lace will sit with alcohol or witch hazel to remove oils and ensure maximum adhesion. Let it dry completely.
  3. Trim the lace: Place the wig on your head and adjust it to your desired position. Trim the excess lace carefully with scissors or a razor, leaving a small amount to blend with your skin.
  4. Apply Ebin Wonder Lace Bond: Apply a thin layer of Wonder Lace Bond along your hairline using a makeup sponge or applicator. Let it dry for 1-2 minutes until it becomes tacky (not wet).
  5. Secure the wig: Starting from the front, carefully place the lace onto the adhesive, pressing it down gently with a comb or your fingers. Work your way around the perimeter, smoothing out any bumps or air pockets. Use a melt band to lay your lace
  6. Set the edges: Use edge control or gel to lay down your baby hairs or edges  for a seamless blend. Use a blow dryer on a cool setting to set the edges if needed.
  7. Blend the lace: Use a small amount of foundation or concealer that matches your skin tone to blend the lace with your scalp. You can also use Ebin Pre-Bond Spray for extra hold around the edges or Ebin Melt Spray to melt the lace.
  8. Style your wig: Style your wig as desired whether its straight, curly or in an updo.

Removing Your Wig:

  • To remove the wig, use Ebin Wonder Lace Adhesive Remover to dissolve the adhesive gently. Apply it along the edges, wait a few seconds and carefully lift the lace.
  • Clean your skin and wig to remove any residue.

Tips for a Flawless Finish:

  • Always do a patch test with the adhesive to ensure you don't have an allergic reaction.
  • Use a minimal amount of adhesive to avoid buildup and make removal easier.
  • Store your wig on a mannequin head, a wig stand or an extensions storage bag to maintain its shape.
