1-Hour Session — Introduction / Targeted Skill Session

Best for a student wanting to learn or improve one specific foundation skill.

What can be covered:

• Brief hair preparation and tool overview
• Sectioning and clean parting
• Three-strand braid fundamentals
• Hand positioning and tension control
• Guided mannequin practice
• Trainer correction and feedback

Alternatively, the hour can be dedicated entirely to one chosen skill, such as cornrows, knotless braid foundations or clean parting.

Best for: Beginners wanting an introduction or students needing targeted help.

2-Hour Session — Introductory Braiding Foundations

Allows enough time for demonstration followed by meaningful hands-on practice.

What can be covered:

• Hair preparation, tools and basic product knowledge
• Sectioning and clean parting
• Three-strand braid technique
• Cornrow foundations
• Introduction to extension handling
• Guided practical exercises
• Tension and hair-protection principles
• Individual feedback and troubleshooting

For students primarily interested in knotless braids, the session could instead focus on sectioning + extension handling + knotless foundations.

Complete Braiding Foundations Course — 5 Hours

For students interested in properly covering the entire Braiding Foundations curriculum. The course is delivered as 3 sessions, which gives students time to practise between classes.
